Our Wall panel system is quick and easy to install. Follow our Installation guide to get started. Please watch our video on how to install a bathtub surround with our Wide Panels.

1. Preperation & back wall

  • 1 Make sure you have all required accessories and tools before starting the installation. When installing an alcove with wide panels you should finish the backwall and then the return walls.
  • 2 In addition to Fibos profiles and accessories the installation require: Knife (retractable or similar), track saq, miter saw, plunge saw or circular saw, ruler, pencil, drill with bits kit, hole saw or jigsaw, spirit leveler or laser and caulking gun
  • 3 Behind Fibo wall panels we strongly recommend using OSB. Note: the OSB must be thick enough to match the thickness of the flange on the tray/bath

2. Meassure, cut and install base profile

  • 1 Measure the length needed and cut the profile
  • 2 Put sealant behind the profile
  • 3 Screw the profile to the wall, we recommend a gap of 1/8 inch between the tray/tub and the base profile

3. Installing first panel

  • 1 Make sure the wall is plum, and cut the panel to size required
  • 2 Clean the edges and apply sealant on all cut surfaces
  • 3 Flip the internal corner profile and fasten it to the panel using the screws enclosed in the packaging
  • 4 Screw the panel to the back wall in the screw-lip and fasten the corner profile to the wall with screws in the pre-drilled holes

4. Sealing the panels

  • 1 All cut surfaces must be cleaned with Fibo Wipes and sealed with Fibo Seal
  • 2 Apply Fibo Seal in the sealing "lip". When the panels are clicked together remove excess with Fibo Clean, Fibo Sealing Tool and Fibo Wipes.

5. Installing the second panel

  • 1 Measure the panel all the way from the edge of the laminate to the lip on the internal corner profile and cut to correct size
  • 2 Make sure to apply sealant on the cut edges before installing the panel
  • 3 Fasten the corner profile to the wall with screws in the pre-drilled holes

6. Installing the first panel on the return wall

  • 1 Measure the panel all the way from the edge of the laminate to the bottom of the internal corner profile and cut to correct size
  • 2 Put the panel in place (remember the sealing process on all cut edges)
  • 3 Pre-drill holes on the edge of the panel, and fasten the panel as shown

7. Installing the second panel on the return wall

  • 1 Measure the panel all the way from the edge of the laminate to the bottom of the internal corner profile and cut to correct size
  • 2 Use a hole saw or jig saw to cut out for pipes/outlets (we recommend a clearance of 0,2 inches)
  • 3 Repeat the sealing process on all cut edges
  • 4 Pre-drill holes on the edge of the panel, and fasten the panel as shown

8. Sealing the internal corner and the base profile

  • 1 Clean the corner with Fibo Wipes. Aplly Fibo Seal in the corner. Remove excess with Fibo Clean and Sealing Tool
  • 2 Clean the base profile with Fibo Wipes, apply sealant between the bottom of the panel and the baseprofile, remove excess with Fibo Clean and Fibo Sealing Tool
  • 3 Apply sealant between the tub /tray and the baseprofile, remove excess with Fibo Clean and Fibo Sealing Tool
  • 4 Apply sealant on the side of the tub and repeat the cleaning steps

9. Sealing the faucet and finishing with L-profile

  • 1 Apply sealant in front of the panel at the contact point for the decorative ring and attach the ring
  • 2 Adjust the L-shaped finishing profile to the correct height. Apply sealant inside the profile and attach it to the edge of the panel to cover the cut edge and the visible screws
