Wax on Click – Easier and Faster Installation

Fibo continues to develop and improve its unique wall system, and now we’re taking yet another step in the right direction by adding wax to the click-lock. This is a product improvement that makes installing Fibo wall panels even easier and more precise, for both professional installers and DIYers.

Benefits for installers

In practice, it’s very simple – but the impact is significant. From June 2025, a thin layer of wax will be applied to the click-lock of every Fibo panel during production. This small layer of wax greatly enhances the installation experience.

  • The wax allows the panels to slide together more easily.
  • Installation becomes quicker and simpler.

This is not a new product, but a clear enhancement of the Fibo system. The panels still click together the same way, but installation becomes even smoother!

The wax is applied as the panels pass through the production line at the factory.
The wax is fed into a container where it is heated, as demonstrated by Anders Kalleberg, Technical Operator at Fibo.
Once the wax is melted, it is sprayed onto the click-lock of the panels.
When the panels are finished, the wax is positioned along the edge of the inside of the groove, as shown here.
